LESCO is providing a two-month-long paid internship for graduate students in their final year in order to sharpen their skills and aid them in achieving higher employability as well as a steady financial support. Those interested are requested to apply on their official website (http://www.lesco.gov.pk/jobs) and, if selected, they will receive a stipend of 15000 rupees every month.
About the Lahore Electric Supply Company Limited (LESCO): Established in compliance with the Companies Ordinance 1984, LESCO is authorized to provide electricity to over 5.9 million people living in the Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara and Nankana Districts.
LESCO Paid Internship Program for Students 2023: The complete details of the various departments for internships, along with the respective qualifications and number of posts available are as follows:
Operations, Technical Directorate: Final year students of BSc Engineering, MSc (Electrical) or equivalent are required; 60 internees in total.
Finance Directorate: MBA (Finance), M.Com, BSc (Hons) or equivalent candidates required; 10 internees in total.
Human Resources / Admn Directorate: Final Year MBA, MPA (HRM), BSc (Hons) or equivalent candidates required; 10 internees in total.
Information Technology Department: Final Year MS (IT), MCS, MBIT BSc (Hons) or equivalent candidates required; 10 internees in total.
Customer Services: Final Year MBA (Marketing) BSc (Hons) or equivalent candidates required; 10 internees in total.
Stipend for Internees: Each intern will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs.15,000/-.
LESCO Paid Internship Program for Students 2023 Eligibilty & Selection Criteria: Eligibility and selection criteria for the internship program is mentioned as follows:
Eligibility Criteria: Only students from universities / colleges that are recognized by HEC will be considered for the program. Students from final year of BSc. Engineering / Master’s degree programs are eligible to apply. Candidates need to have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) in the preceding academic years/Semesters evidenced with transcript/certificate which must be attested by the concerned institution.
Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on the following marks obtained in matriculation, intermediate or equivalent, BA/BSc or equivalent, MA/MSc or equivalent:
For Masters or Equivalent (16-years of education) Degrees: 5% for matric, 15% for intermediate or equivalent, 30% for BA/BSc or equivalent, and 50% for MA/MSc or equivalent.
For Bachelors of equivalent (16-years of education) Degrees: 5% for matric, 25% for intermediate or equivalent, and 70% for BA/BSc (Engg or Equivalent).

How to Apply for LESCO Paid Internship Program for Students 2023 ?
To apply for the Internship, students must navigate to the LESCO website, http://www.lesco.gov.
1.Upon completing the necessary details, select the 'Save' button to receive a Tracking ID, after which the Declaration form may be downloaded.
2.Students who have completed the Declaration Form, which can be found on the LESCO website, must submit it with all of the necessary accompanying documents and a Tracking ID to the HR Department of LESCO HQ on 22/A Queens Road Lahore. This includes a recommendation letter from their Head of Department, copies of their Matric and Intermediate degrees/result cards, a copy of the last semester of their Bachelor/Master's result card (if they are applying based on a Master's degree), and a Curriculum Vitae (CV). All documents must be stamped and attested.
3.Applicants must clearly state their availability dates, academic information, and area of interest within LESCO in their request, in addition to describing the skills and experiences they hope to gain or refine, and how the internship fits into their educational aspirations in a personal statement. Applications will not be considered if documents are incomplete or are submitted after the due date.
Selected applicants will be contacted based on merit for the internship. LESCO reserves the right to rescind any internship without prior notice. Transportation or any other allowance will not be provided during the internship period. The application submission deadline is May 30, 2023. The intern will be granted a certificate of completion after submitting the corresponding report. Applicants are urged to carefully read the following instructions prior to submitting their application form on the LESCO website. No ethnic, religious, or other discriminatory measures will be taken into account for internship selection.
